The news that Paintball World TV News show has signed a contract to air their paintball television show for another year was just released. They will be airing all new episodes in the up and coming year, again on the Men's Outdoors and Recreation channel (MOR).
Just coming to the end of their first year, the show has been a big success and has received great ratings. Their new season will begin in July of 2007 and run through July 2008. A fan favorite, it shows all types of paintball in their program, from national and regional tournaments, to regional and national scenario events, and big games, they cover the entire sport. Phil Kelly, co-host and co-executive producer of the show stated, "We are proud to be asked to air our show Paintball World TV News another year on the Men's Outdoor and Recreation channel. We are adding households and viewership every month to our show and we have added millions of households since we began. In television, the more households you reach, the more expensive the air time is. This caused us some concern because our advertising prices increased as well and it was up to the paintball industry to support paintball on TV. We are proud to say that our title sponsor JT Sports has really stepped up to the plate to support paintball on TV and they have actually doubled their advertising spots with us to help us afford to promote the fine sport of paintball on TV." Norie Kelly, co-host said, "We are ecstatic to have such a fantastic company such as JT Sports commit to help us to promote this sport. Their executives display true vision and commitment to the growth of paintball and promoting the sport on TV; hopefully, more companies in the industry will follow their example and help support our show and demonstrate their commitment to promoting the sport in a positive mainstream way on national TV." Reaching over 819,000 households with an average of three viewers per week, they provide paintball television reaching over 2.4 million viewers weekly. One of the first shows to garner across the board support, they are also one of the first paintball shows to air for two years. Any companies interested in sponsoring the show should contact Norie Kelly through the Paintball World TV News' website at www.paintballworld.tv. "We really need the help of a couple more endemic advertisers and would greatly welcome any other companies interested in being a part of our show." added Norie Kelly. "Our advertising rates are extremely reasonable, especially when you look at the large exposure on TV to consumers which consist of paintball players and non players. Many of these non players are now getting into paintball through watching it on our show, and their product buying decisions are to buy the names that they know, which are our sponsors’. We are sure companies would be very pleased at the exposure our show and the MOR network would provide for their products." "The MOR channel is a great channel for all types of outdoor enthusiasts, including paintball players. The network has shows on hunting, fishing, ATVs, snowmobiles, softball, racing and more! Now they have added paintball to its roster with a great success. Using 'designated programming blocks,' they air blocks of certain sports to get participants of that sport to view during those time slots. They have expressed to us their desire to add more paintball programming to the lineup," said Phil Kelly. "With a time slot just before or after our show there is a great opportunity to tap into the viewership we have already established for paintball on TV. Anybody interested in airing paintball on TV should contact us and we would love to help them get their programming on the network. Any companies interested in producing a show also should contact us because we have the facilities and crew to easily produce another show and on a VERY reasonable budget," added Phil Kelly. Programming Director Micheal Klahr had this to say, "Men's Outdoors & Recreation is very pleased that Paintball World TV News will be airing for second 12 months on MOR beginning this summer. As we try to meet the needs of every outdoor enthusiast with a dedicated network, this is important programming for us and for enthusiast viewers across the country. It is our goal to expand programming in all shooting sports, and to build out our paintball programming content with additional shows. The response from the paintball community has been heartening." "We also want to thank all of you viewers, because without you we would not have this type of success! Thank you so much for watching and your support!" added Norie. You can watch their program on the Men's Outdoor and Recreation channel at 9 PM ET every Saturday night. It is on channel 218 on the Dish Network, 604 on Direct TV, and it is also available on Time Warner, Comcast, At & T, Brighthouse and Insight cable providers. If you miss it then, it has also been airing at 4 PM ET on Wednesdays.
