Three Rivers Paintball will be holding a unique scenario game entitled "Armageddon: The Battle for Salvation", produced by Mission Masters, at the upcoming Moraine Park Summer Festival this June. The one day paintball event will kick off on Friday, June 13th at 9AM at the Three Rivers Paintball Park Site just 20 minutes south of the festival running over the next three days.
After a two year sabbatical, one of the pioneers in the industry is back in the game with a brand new scenario concept. Debra Dion Krischke and her husband Ryan, owners of Three Rivers Paintball in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania produced the infamous IAO (International Amateur Open) from 1991 to 2006. Their scenario partners, Mission Masters, have written a unique script for this event based on events from the Old Testament.
According to Ms. Krischke, "I needed to take a break from the paintball world. After 25 years in the industry, it was time to re-group, re-focus and re-charge my batteries and my heart. But an opportunity to create a new event for the industry came into my life and I just had to re-engage."
The Moraine Park Summer Festival with Steve Wingfield is coming to the Pittsburgh area June 13-15th. This interfaith festival is slated to attract over 30,000 attendees and is free to the general public. The 3 day Festival will feature nightly messages from author, humanitarian and evangelist Steve Wingfield along with concerts from national recording artists (including Ricky Skaggs, Thousand Foot Krutch, and more), professional skateboard and strength team demonstrations, food vendors, professional wrestling, blow-up games, sports competitions, battle of the bands, children's ventriloquist, paint ball shooting gallery, motorcycle ride through park, car cruise and a crafters fair. But the Festival really kicks off Friday morning, June 13th at Three Rivers Paintball!
"Armageddon: The Battle for Salvation"-will be attracting church youth groups from the 70 churches already involved as well as players from all over the region. The 7 hours of play will conclude with a closing message from Steve Wingfield. His ministry is an evangelistic outreach sponsored by local churches and businesses and will involve over 1,000 volunteers.
"We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of this upcoming Festival," quotes Dion Krischke, "and we look forward to working with the team at Wingfield Productions." With the addition of paintball to attract the teenagers, this Festival really will offer activities for all ages and be a place where families can spend a weekend connecting with each other and reaffirming or discovering their faith.
