Thunderstruck Scenario paintball has a new member. But you probably won't see her pulling off any stunning moves on the field. Susan Kirkland, award winning journalist and fiction writer, has joined the team as their public relations specialist.
"We felt it was time to bring in someone to really help us get our information out there. We have so much exciting news to share with everyone, we didn't even know where to start," said Barrie 'Nudi' Reid, current President of Thunderstruck Scenario Paintball Team. "Susan's experience will make her a great asset for us."
Kirkland lives in northwest Georgia, where she has been recognized for her investigative journalism and education coverage. She began her journalism career while at North Georgia College and State University prior to using her talents for the Georgia Army National Guard. She is also a published fiction writer. Her novel "Higher Honor" is scheduled for release in the fall and she has a story in the anthology "Light at the Edge of Darkness," both published by the Writers' Cafe` Press in Lafayette, Indiana.
"I'm looking forward to working with Thunderstruck," said Kirkland. "They have an awesome team, both on and off the field."
Thunderstruck was formed in 2004 and is primarily a 24-hour scenario paintball team with members from all over the country. Thunderstruck is generously sponsored by Smart Parts, Deadly Wind, and Archon.
