The "Ill Ride"...*snicker*

Much to his chagrin, I’m doing a story about Dale’s birthday!  I called him last night, and he warned me NOT to do it, but I’m doing it anyways!

Dale’s having a busy 2006…he just took over 68Caliber.Com, he just got a new job, and he’s stuck driving probably the ugliest car on the planet.  When he got the new job repairing copiers, his wife suggested that he buy a little beater car that gets good gas mileage to not only save money, but to save wear and tear on his beloved Explorer.  So now he drives a 1990 Daihatsu Charade 30 miles one way to his new job in Tampa.  It's tough on his ego, but easy on his wallet.   I asked him if he missed the casino job, and he said he didn’t miss the hours, but he did miss some of the people he worked with. 

I called his wife Jamie next, and she allowed that she was very happy that he got the new job, especially since he’s working mainly with middle-aged men, rather than a bunch of attractive women!  I didn’t have the heart to tell her that nobody but her is attracted to Dale….

Since Dale has been doing birthday announcements for his family, I thought it only fair that I do one for him on his 36th birthday.  Dale and Jamie are heading over to the Daytona area for the weekend, to just relax and hang out with friends.  I just hope for his wife’s sake that he takes the Explorer, NOT the Daihatsu!
