They say "If its too good to be true, it usually is". They are the competition, Nsera and Apl, because they are worried about true competition and disclosure.

What I can tell you is that when I came into the paintball industry in 1996 with a competitive insurance program I saved the industry 63% over the Apl program. The competition told everyone that it was too good to be true. One year later approximately 75% of the industry was insured with us for better coverage and lower rates.

Now in December 2007 we have developed two new insurance programs which will save paintball fields’ 40-60% average on their insurance costs. We have two insurance carriers with two programs, one for small fields under 2500 players, and one for fields with over 2500 players.

We only use A+ rated USA insurance companies. We use Lexington Insurance, part of the AIG Insurance Group, the largest insurance company in the USA. They have over $2 billion in reserves according to A.M Best. For the small field program we use Riverport Insurance A+ rated, part of W.R. Berkley Company. They have over $2 billion in reserves according to A.M. Best. The accident medical policy is insured with StarNet Insurance Company who is also part of the W.R. Berkley Company. So we do not work with small companies that do not have the financial ability to pay claims.

The competition uses Philadelphia Insurance, an A+ rated company, $1-1.25 billion in reserves according to A.M. Best. Philadelphia is a great company also that I insure family fun centers with.

Question: How can Larry Cossio and Cossio Insurance Agency provide insurance for paintball fields so much lower than Nsera and Apl?

Answer: To start, Larry & Marcela Cossio own Cossio Insurance Agency, a real full service insurance agency, and have over 28 years experience in insurance insuring several different markets. We provide insurance for family fun centers, water parks, mobile rock climbing walls, rock climbing gyms, gymnastic studios, sports venues and events, inflatable device rental operators, product liability for manufacturers, contractors, pilot car operators, and many other industries. We do not depend on association dues to support our lifestyle. We also provide auto, homeowners, renters, and life insurance. We currently write with 58 different companies and brokerage houses nationwide.

You are being overcharged "association dues" from these two so called associations mentioned above. They charge from $300-400 for "their program" and your ability to access it. They both claim that their insurance programs are a program that "they" designed which is far from the truth.

If you check into some of these facts you will notice that only in paintball, do you supposedly purchase insurance directly through an association and make your checks payable to an association. According to insurance code, that association would have to be a licensed entity with the department of insurance if it was transacting insurance. All other associations have affiliations with insurance agencies who write for that association and the check is payable to that insurance agency. Food for thought….

The insurance is written through MIC insurance brokerage in Illinois, who I worked with from approximately 1997-2003 to develop a competitive program for the paintball industry. The insurance companies have changed but the basics of the program have not. Anyone can go direct to MIC and avoid paying the $300-400 association dues that these entities are charging…..several fields already have.

This current program with both of these so called “associations” uses a master policy through MIC Insurance Brokerage, which is yet another association program with association dues of $150 per policy. So you have an association program insuring with an existing association program, two dues being charged! If you have insurance with Apl or Nsera, they are all the same master policy with the same coverages and the same rates, insured with Philadelphia Insurance, a great A rated company.

We have gone direct to the insurance carrier AIG and developed a new program with better coverages and lower pricing. This undoubtedly will cause huge financial challenges with both "associations." So, it is possible you might hear several false accusations against our new insurance programs. Do not believe them, but please, check them out yourself.

As an overview, our insurance programs provide general liability coverage for the parking, staging, playing fields, and pro shops at all addresses listed on the application. Our liability limits match the competition policy and are $1,000,000 higher on the product liability with 40% savings. Our accidental medical policy covers $50,000 while the competition only covers $25,000. Therefore, our rates are 50% less for twice the coverage. Yes, the competition is not happy.

Does this sound like you are currently being taken advantage of? Now you have an option on the table that you did not have for the last 4 years. Check it out.

Our attorney is Nathalie Morgan in Greenville, South Carolina. Her phone number is 864-242-6655. She has reviewed the policies and confirms the correct coverage for the paintball industry. If you have any concerns about validity of the policy, insurance company or coverages, please feel free to call her.

The fields that have asked for a quote already have been pleasantly surprised and have switched immediately. We have saved several fields over $1000 on the accident medical policy alone! We have the developed this insurance program with the ability to accept different modes of fire, night games, etc. for an extra premium which the competition is not able to provide.

Your current coverage will expire on 3/1/08 if you are with either of these "associations" mentioned above. If you are looking to improve your bottom line for 2008, a smart business move would be to increase your insurance coverage while lowering your insurance premiums by switching to the Cossio Insurance Agency.

Example of some quotes we have provided:

Small field, less than 2000 players per year $850.

Mid sized field, 5000 players $2556

Large sized field 10000 players $3649

Pro shop extra, retail store can be added also.

www.paintballinsurance.com just great insurance coverage at great prices and no associations...
