Pro-Team Products is pleased to announce that it was recently awarded patent number 7,243,645, entitled "Positive fit "elastic" feed adapter for paintball gun"  for another variation of its Positive Fit Feed Adapter, a patent granted in 2003 (pat. No. 6,591,824) and originally applied for in April of 2000.

The positive fit feed adapter may be familiar to many as the design has been utilized by a number of companies between the year 2000 and the present.  The original invention was displayed at the 2000 World Cup in October of that same year (several months after Pro-Team filed its application).

The continuation grant (a new patent covering additional variations or improvements of the design that receives the same filing date as the original) is for an elastic membrane pressure fit version of the locking feed neck.

The original invention was of a locking-collet design; turning the outer housing tightened compression fittings down against a loader's feed neck.  This device can be manufactured to attach to a loader, to a feed neck, to both or can be built directly onto a marker.

Pro-Team Products's numerous patents, including the positive fit feed adapter, enjoy the earliest filings dates in a number of paintball and other fields of invention.
