The Gnome hard at work | Paintball Legion, the latest upstart discussion forum devoted to the culture of paintball has started drawing a lot of attention and a lot of traffic. So much so that big boys on the block PBNation are getting a little upset with the Legionnaires who are attempting to drive traffic from the Nation to the Legion with links in their postings.
The Legion website is purportedly just a hair away from being placed into PBNation's infamous swear filter. If PBNation takes that action, the Legion's name would appear as a series of asterisks in any post that mentions it.
The editorial staff at 68Caliber strongly advises the posters and members at PBLegion to stop their "spamming" over at the Nation: if the Legion is added to the swear filter it could cause undue confusion in the marketplace, since the asterisks have become an almost universally recognized alternative name for www.68Caliber.com.
To the Mods at PBNation: management of your site is your business, but if you do decide to stick www.PBLegion.com in the swear filter, could you use something other than asterisks?
